our origin story: fourteen years of keeping traditions alive
Fourteen years ago, Wedding Crafts was founded in Mysuru with a singular, clear-cut purpose: to rescue the vanishing art of authentic, handmade Indian event decoration from the influx of mass-produced, generic plastic alternatives. In Indian culture, a wedding is not a mere social assembly; it is a sacred convergence of families, a spiritual union, and a celebration of timeless heritage. The stage where the bride and groom sit is considered an altar, and traditionally, the front portion of this stage is adorned with specific symbolic art forms to invite prosperity, positive energy, and divine blessings.
Recognizing a distinct gap in the market for genuine, artisan-crafted front-stage decor items, our founders set out to build a collaborative workshop of traditional woodworkers, painters, and structural designers. What started as a small, passionate creative studio has evolved over more than a decade into one of Karnataka’s most respected custom decor providers. Today, while technology and construction methodologies have evolved, our core workflow remains anchored in the classic methods: sketching layouts by hand, selecting raw materials in local markets, and manually carving out details that give our decorations an unmistakable soul and depth.
